I've always loved taking photos of mushrooms; the above pic taken this past August, but today I found mushrooms way past their prime to be quite exquisite.

Flash back

Summer was a very busy time, I got a lot of painting done. I also took a lot of pictures but did not have time to post many of them. Now that things have slowed down a bit; I have some time to reflect and go back through those pics.

Calm Water

Most days the ocean around here is rough, it is dangerous to get too close to it.
On rare occasions it is calm. This morning I ran down there with my camera to snaps pics of the treasures in the tide pools.

In the warmer months, the water in these tide pools becomes clouded with algae, now that it is cold again, the water is clear but there is still a diverse range of life.



Usually I try to keep the dog out of the water I'm shooting but the light was just too perfect here.

Today

The wind is shaking the house a bit, gusts plowing against the exterior; I’m procrastinating; reminiscing about a bright day spent on the beach in New Brunswick last month.
