So they say...

They say that the weather changes quickly out here. Today I can only agree with them.

Winter shminter

Had a bit of a storm today; strong winds, lots of snow blowing around. Notice that half of my car is buried. The winds were so nasty that when Sasha and I went for our walk this morning it was she who turned around and dragged me back home. By the time the winds had died down enough that I dared to venture outside; it was raining. Rain is much nicer than wet snow to get pelted in the face with:)

Monday Monday

Some pics from the morning walk, got a big dump of snow yesterday and no one had broken trail before Sash and me.

Seal

This seal has been hanging around in front of the studio all week. Diving and surfacing in a relatively small area. The seals I've seen here before show up one day and maybe stick around as long as the next but then they go along their way. This little fella has been here for five days now.

I know he can't see me; but somehow I feel he's playing games with me: every time I look over, see he's surfaced and pick up my camera, he dives. Stays under for 10-15 minutes; usually I lose patience and go back to work, only to see him again a few minutes later. Yesterday, I gave in, I pulled a stool up to the window for a stretch to shot some pics. I feel a bit like one of those Loch Ness monster enthusiasts:)

Took a little drive this afternoon to Bauline; the town just west of us on the other side of the peninsula.

Look at these lichen on exposed rocks beside the ocean; happily nestled in the snow.

Studio Life

In the studio after travels to Ontario and back again. It was wonderful to see everyone; I am so grateful for all the amazing people I have in my life and miss you all so much more now that I know I'm going to be here for a while.
