Been a while; my mum was here for the holidays. Here's a few pics from our visit. Mum's first day in the Cove, we saw a whale! Its been six months since i've seen one, and its totally out of season but we saw a humpback in the cove. It surfaced three times for us before going on its way.
I took these shots a few weeks ago and I find myself re-visiting often. They are wonderful studies in form and colour. Water in the ground here freezes in little vertical columns; these photos were taken of the trail I was walking on, the rocks are the size of fine gravel. I would love for you to see these images printed large somewhere but for now this will have to do:)
Check out the Nemertini Worm Its an ongoing image that anyone can add to; as long as it blends smoothly. There's a lot of really great work on there. I added the last segment; the one with the crow.
Took this shot trying to get a sense of scale for the hugeness of the waves we were having. This wave is breaking on a shoal offshore; the coastline is rocky behind those houses.
These two taken yesterday morning. Studio shots coming soon...
I've always loved taking photos of mushrooms; the above pic taken this past August, but today I found mushrooms way past their prime to be quite exquisite.
